File storage
Sync between desktop and phone, version history and shared folders for the team.
Collaboration 07.1 — Files
Files, calendar, contacts, chat and collaborative documents — on your server, under your rules. No Google or Dropbox limits, and no data leaving your control.
A fully working Nextcloud environment — not a demo, but a real instance your team works on. After 2 months you decide whether to continue.
The trial covers setup; server resources are agreed separately.
Nextcloud / capabilities
Deployed on my infrastructure or on your own server — with team folders, correct permissions and Synology/QNAP NAS integration. With a 2-month free trial.
Sync between desktop and phone, version history and shared folders for the team.
Users, groups, quotas and access rules — exactly who sees what.
CalDAV/CardDAV — works with Outlook, Apple and Android at the same time.
Nextcloud Talk: video calls, screen sharing and group chat on your own server.
OnlyOffice or Collabora — simultaneous editing of Word/Excel files in the browser.
HTTPS, two-factor authentication, brute-force protection and disk encryption.
Two models
The same Nextcloud, two different models of responsibility. The choice depends on whether you want physical control of the server.
On STACK.GE infrastructure
The server, updates, backups and availability are my responsibility. You just use it — ideal for a team without an IT administrator.
Full physical control
I deploy, tune and hand over full documentation — then you run it yourself, or I keep maintaining it. The data physically stays in your office.
Team folders
The most common Nextcloud problem is not installation but permission chaos: everyone sees everything, or nobody can find anything. I build a structure that follows the business logic.
Departments, roles and projects — groups mirror the real organisation chart, not random names.
Read-only, edit, share or full management — per folder, with inheritance handled properly.
One understandable structure: company → department → project. No “New folder (2)” on the desktop.
For a client or partner — one specific folder, with an expiry date and password, not the whole instance.
A permissions audit is part of the setup package: I show who sees what today and what should change.
NAS integration
If you already have a NAS, Nextcloud should not become a second, separate storage. I set it up so Nextcloud is the access layer while the data stays on the NAS — one source, two doors.
DSM shared folders as Nextcloud external storage, or the other way round — Nextcloud data on the NAS volume.
Any SMB or NFS storage — with permission sync and a stable mount.
No duplicate copies and no “which one is correct?” — the file lives in one place, Nextcloud just opens the door.
NAS snapshots plus a Nextcloud database backup — restore tested, not theoretical.
NAS integration works in both the managed and the on-prem model — in both cases you own the data.
Deployment options
We start small and grow only when you actually need it.
For a small team
Minimal resources, fast deployment and low cost. Ideal for 5–15 users.
For a growing business
Collaborative editing, Talk video calls and the full feature set for 15–50 users.
For critical workloads
High availability, a separate database and a standby node. For 50+ users.
process
2 months free — I set up a working environment and show how it fits your team.
Move existing files, calendars and contacts without downtime.
A lightweight Alpine VM or a stronger server — sized to your real workload.
Updates, backups, monitoring and adding new features as needed.
cases
Folder structure, quotas and the mobile app — files always at hand.
Contracts and spreadsheets edited together, with version history and comments.
Nextcloud runs on the NAS storage — browser access, while the data stays in the office.
Integrations
Nextcloud works well on its own, but much better when documents, chat, passwords and tasks are attached to it.
faq
You decide: continue with a maintenance plan, move to a stronger server, or take your data. There is no obligation.
Yes — that is one of the main options. I deploy on your Proxmox or physical server, hand over documentation, and then you run it or I maintain it.
Yes — Synology, QNAP and any SMB/NFS storage. Data can stay on the NAS while Nextcloud provides the access layer.
For a small team, 2 vCPU, 2–4 GB RAM and 40–80 GB disk is enough. We scale as you grow.
