Cluster build
Two or more nodes, corosync, quorum and live migration — one node going down does not stop the service.
Infrastructure 06.1 — Virtualisation
From a single physical server to a full cluster. I deploy Proxmox VE, run every service on it, and give you what the cloud usually charges for — full control.
Proxmox VE / capabilities
VMs, LXC containers, live migration, high availability and centralised management from one web panel.
Two or more nodes, corosync, quorum and live migration — one node going down does not stop the service.
A VM where full isolation matters, an LXC container where resources do. We choose per workload.
ZFS with snapshots for a single node, Ceph for distributed storage — smarter than plain RAID.
HA groups and automatic failover — a node drops, the VM comes up elsewhere.
Before you buy, I size CPU, RAM, disks and NICs against the real workload — without overspending.
Linux, Windows Server, databases and containers — installed, tuned and documented.
process
What services you run today, what eats resources and what is at risk.
Node count, storage type, network diagram and budget — in writing.
Installation, clustering, VM migration and testing under real load.
Updates, monitoring, backups and documentation that stays current.
cases
Shared storage, live migration and HA — one server going down goes unnoticed.
Five separate machines onto one platform — less noise, less power, one backup.
faq
Often yes. Proxmox runs well on 5–7 year old servers; I assess each one individually.
Proxmox VE itself is free. Only the enterprise repository and support are paid — optional.
With HA configured, the VM comes up on the second node automatically — within 1–2 minutes.
All directions
I will prepare a design and a realistic hardware budget — before you buy.
